Geriatric
Geriatric is one of many great rock climbs on the East End of Rundle (EEOR) above Canmore. The rock is beautifully textured limestone with lots of cracks & corners. The climbing is consistent throughout and the lack of big ledges makes for some excellent exposure high above the valley! If the first couple pitches feel easy we can also choose to continue up the more difficult Econoline (5.10a) from that point on. From the top, a few steep rappels bring us back to the base of the climb.
Location: Canmore, Alberta. 1 hour drive from Calgary.
Difficulty: 5.8+
Length: 200m
Logistics: Up to 2 guests can join for an ascent of Geriatric and most other routes on EEOR. Late May through September is the best time to plan an ascent. Some previous rock climbing experience required.
