Prerequisites: At least a couple days of ice climbing experience. Rock climbing experience really helps as well!
Participants should also be familiar with basic climbing skills such as belaying, and expect the climbing to be strenuous on the arms & upper body.
Agenda
Days 1 & 2 - An awesome two days of drytooling and mixed climbing in the Bow Valley! We will practice movement skills, clipping and dealing with gear, leading techniques, safety considerations, and of course do tons of climbing!
Because the group size is so small, it is not neccessary for everyone on the course to be at the exact same skill level, we will choose venues that have a variety of difficulties of climbs.
Optional Day 3 - Multipitch Ascent: Course participants can add on a discounted day of multipitch ice or mixed climbing in groups of 1 or 2 people. $450 for 1 person, $225 each for 2 people. There may be a higher charge for long routes such as those on the Coire Dubh Wall. Please request this option in advance. See the[ice] page for more information on guided ascents.
